This May, Bear Reviews is reviewing Oscar Winners of the 1920s. Which is easy because there are only two of them!

The Broadway Melody is about three assholes, two of whom conspire to not allow one of the assholes to date a sleaze, but instead to date one of them, who is also a sleaze. The irony is lost on them.

There are no bears in this movie. In fact there might not be any animals (other than humans) at all. There are no bare breasts or bare bottoms. No one in the movie cares about the right to bare arms. As Kayne West once said: “The Broadway Melody doesn’t care about bears.”

Grade: Zero Bears (Out of Five Bears)

Tune in next month, when Bear Reviews will be taking a look at some of the most well-received movies from Pixar. We’re starting where it all began…
