Love (and monsters) are in the air!
As Valentine’s Day approaches, I’ve teamed up with Paramount Home Entertainment to share a monstrosity and apocalyptic treat inspired by one of my favorite creatures from the new Love & Monsters movie, the Polar Frog!
Scroll down below to find everything you need for Love & Monsters, now available in 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and Digital! I share a recipe to make your own sticky Valentine treats (with boxed printed hearts), monster coloring pages, and see how the creatures came to be in my recent interview with Steve Boyle, Special Effects – Creatures Manager.
Of love and monsters
Seven years after the monsterpocalypse, Joel Dawson (Dylan O’Brien) has been living underground with the rest of humanity since the giant creatures took control of Earth. After using the radio to find his college girlfriend Aimee (Jessica Henwick), who is now 80 miles from the coastal colony, Joel begins to fall in love with her all over again. Realizing that there is nothing left for him underground, Joel decides to go to Aimee, despite all the dangerous monsters standing in his way.
Dan Ewing, Michael Rooker and Ariana Greenblatt also star in this action-packed, fun-filled adventure. The film is directed by Michael Matthews.

Have you ever wondered how monsters are born?
Take a look behind the scenes and learn more about the monstrous magic that was used to bring the creatures in the film to life with Steve Boyle, Special Effects – Creature Heads.
I found it fascinating to hear how much time and detail was spent on the physical parts of the creature, and I loved hearing Steve’s perspective on how the best creatures have the perfect combination of practical effects and CGI.
