The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are a couple who are often seen in the public eye. But thanks to their private lives, in which they live a little more than a mile away from their official residence, they often keep their private residence secluded.
They bought a 10 acre property in the Scottish Highlands in 2011 and slowly but surely, have been making it their own. The building is a mix of old and new, a mix of the stuff you find in most country houses with the local construction techniques and whatever else they can find for it. They have their own stable and a forest. The photos on their website look great, and the place looks like a dream house.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have recently purchased a huge, luxurious private home in Scotland. It’s a gorgeous property with sweeping views of the countryside. When we started looking at better homes for the Prince and the Duchess in Scotland, we knew that they would like this one, because it is private, expansive, and has beautiful scenery.
According to British Royal family news, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a third residence that is so secret that there are suspicions that no pictures of it exist. Isn’t it creepy? However, it is private, and the couple enjoys it!
Balmoral Castle is the private property of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
The Queen’s magnificent Balmoral estate in Scotland is often visited by various members of the royal family throughout the year, particularly during the summer.
Prince William, Kate, and their children Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3, typically spend their vacations and holidays at the monarch’s summer residence in Aberdeenshire.
The Cambridges have the option of staying in their very exclusive third home when they visit the estate.
Prince William received the house, known as Tam-Na-Ghar cottage, as a gift from his great-grandmother, the Queen Mother, soon before her death in 2002.
The three-bedroom Tam-Na-Ghar cottage is located on the 50,000-acre Balmoral estate and is claimed to be ultra-private.
According to Hello!, Prince William and Kate have been staying at the cottage since they were students at St. Andrews University. They reportedly informed old pals that they spent some of their happiest moments there.
A royal source told Vanity Fair in 2019 that the couple slept at the cottage at the time: “The Queen has a lot of visitors coming and the Cambridges are likely to stay at the cottage to relieve the pressure.” This may benefit everyone since it implies more room in the castle.”
The Balmoral estate has 150 structures in all, including the principal residence, Balmoral Castle, and Prince Charles’ home, Birkhall.
At the future, Prince William and Kate will spend more time in their Scottish home.
William and Kate Middleton are likely to visit their Scottish property – as well as their Norfolk hideaway Anmer Hall – more often in the future. As they prepare for their future responsibilities, the pair will likely restrict their visits to places closer to home, according to a royal expert.
Katie Nicholl, a royal author, said that the couple’s family vacations would be closer to home, but still full of enjoyable outdoor activities.

“Summer vacations in Anmer are the ideal opportunity for Kate and William to decompress,” she told OK! If they do have royal engagements, it will be few and few between.”
“While we’ve seen the couple have more expensive vacations skiing or visiting sunny locations in the past, they’ve been sticking to a more conventional royal approach and spending their time at royal homes in the UK instead.”
“This may be due to Covid travel limitations, but I also think Kate and William are maturing into the future King and Queen, and therefore are embracing more conventional practices.”
